  • Carlisle Gifts Walnut Creek

Our big, beautiful Victorian house looks right at home on charming Walnut Street—and you’re invited to pay a call. Gingerbread fretwork, graceful railings, and a generous wrap-around porch make it easy to imagine you’re visiting the showpiece residence of an early captain of Ohio industry. But what awaits you inside Carlisle Gifts is an even lovelier reminder that bringing refined experiences to a simple rural setting has timeless appeal. Browse the bountiful bays and nooks. Poke into the corners. Explore every beautiful inch. Each time you visit, you’ll discover something new. Embroidered linens or cozy fleece throws. English, bone-china teapots or whimsical wooden toys. Beaded lampshades or a rustic nesting box for the garden. Quilted designer handbags or an enchanting children’s book. Vera Bradley and Miche handbags. Like proud homeowners, our staff pays loving attention to setting up each room just right. Inspirational displays reveal great new gift ideas. Homey vignettes help you envision creative ways to decorate your own showpiece residence.

  • Der Dutchman Restaurant Walnut Creek

The Der Dutchman Restaurant Walnut Creek serves the finest Amish Kitchen Cooking. Menus feature a wide variety of dinners, sandwiches, and desserts. The cooks in our kitchen know that much of the comfort in “comfort food” comes from the way it is prepared, so they use time-honored methods often learned at the elbow of a mother or a grandmother. It’s tradition you can really taste!

Our family style dinners are an example of the traditional meals Amish serve in their homes. These dinners include chicken, ham, or roast beef, real mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, old fashioned dressing (stuffing), plus a salad bar. Loaves of warm, fresh-baked bread, pie and a beverage complete your meal. While you delight in our food you can relax with the picturesque view of the Gensa Bottom - a beautiful Amish farming valley.

Our banquet facilities accommodate groups of 20 to 475 and bus tours are welcome. Our employees are the gracious, hard-working face of the Walnut Creek community. Customers often comment that the opportunity to interact with our Amish servers and staff makes a meal at Der Dutchman even more memorable and enjoyable. Please come join us!
