Marblehead Lighthouse State Park
Marblehead Lighthouse State Park is located in Ottawa Co. on the tip of the Marblehead Peninsula, 10 mi. east of Port Clinton and 50 miles east of Toledo. Marblehead Lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse in continuous operation on the Great Lakes, guiding sailors safely along the rocky shores of the peninsula since 1822. Tours are offered on weekdays during the summer months and on select Saturdays. The Keeper's house offers interesting displays of Lake Erie maritime history. The annual Lighthouse Festival is held in October. There are no overnight facilities available at this location.

Kelleys Island State Park
Kelleys Island State Park is in Erie Co. on the north end of Kelleys Island, 3 mi. north of the town of Marblehead. Access is by boat, plane, or ferry from Sandusky or the Marblehead Peninsula. The park is full of natural attractions & boasts a campground with sites overlooking Lake Erie. North Shore Alvar & North Pond Nature Preserves are examples of unique plant communities thriving in this ecosystem. Glacial Grooves were formed as glaciers molded the landscape, carving massive scratches in bedrock. Hike or bike on 6 mi. of trails winding through the nature preserves. Picnic areas offer tables & grills. Nature programs provide summer entertainment. A 100 ft. beach is provided on Lake Erie. A launch ramp provides Lake Erie access for boaters, and kayaks are avilalbe for rent. Fishing access is from shore. Limited hunting is permitted. The campground offers 82 sites with electric hookups and 43 non-electric sites. Amenities: showers & restrooms. Pets permitted on designated sites. Bring your own tent or camper, or try hassle-free Rent-A-Camp. Two Island Yurts offer the comforts of home with a kitchen, living area & private bath.
Camping rates (weekends) range from $26/night to $32/night for non-electric/electric sites. Rent-a-camp for $47/night. Yurt rentals are $100/night. Call 1-866-644-6727 for reservations.

Mystic Belle Cruises
Take a relaxing paddle-wheel tour aboard the historic and scenic Vermilion River. Trip includes the beauty of both the natural upriver scenes as well as the picturesque lagoons with narration about the harbor's past. Tours last approximately 50 minutes. Wheelchair accessible. Catawba Island State Park
Catawba Island State Park, located in Ottawa Co. about 10 mi. E of Port Clinton, is the last stop on the mainland Ohio shoreline before Lake Erie waters stretch to South Bass Island. Park visitors can enjoy shoreline fishing. There is a scenic picnic area with tables and grills, and a reservable picnic shelter. call 1-866-OHIOPARKS for shelter house reservations.
