  • Middlefield Original Cheese Co-op

    This Farmer owned co-op started back in 1956. There are now 250 co-op members, ninety-eight percent are Amish.

    The cheese is natural, made from milk from cows that are not treated with BST hormones. The cheese is made in the traditional method, in vats.

    Some of the cheeses made are Mild Cheddar, Monterey Jack, Marble Pepper Jack, Farmer's, Brick and Marble Pepper Jack. Newest products consist of Colby, Co-Jack and Pepper Jack Longhorn.

  • End of the Commons General Store

    End of the Commons General Store is Ohio’s oldest general store located 45 minutes east of Cleveland, in the scenic Amish community of Mesopotamia, Ohio where Geauga, Ashtabula &Trumbull counties meet. We are on the Register of Historic Places and have preserved the building, while maintaining a large display of antiques, dating to the mid 1800’s. Today, the 15,000 square foot retail store is reminiscent of days gone by; one will find a treasure of old fashioned goods, hard to find kitchen gadgets, bulk foods, Amish baked goods, homemade fudge, glass bottle soda pop, gifts & gourmet foods.  During the summer months one may find the owners car collection dating from 1914 parked outside. We provide memories and treats from the past.

  • Hotel Millersburg

    Hotel Millersburg welcomed its first guest in 1847.  Since then it has been continuously operated as a hotel in Millersburg, Ohio.  The Hotel is located in downtown Millersburg, which has been designated as a national historic district.  Hotel Millersburg is located in Holmes County, home to the largest Amish and Mennonite communities in the world. 

    The Hotel is a short drive to the Amish communities of Charm, Berlin, Walnut Creek, Shreve and Farmerstown.  Hotel Millersburg is the closest hotel to Mt. Hope, and the many auctions and events held there.  The Mt. Hope Auction House is home to an exotic animal auction which is billed as the largest east of the Mississippi.

    Downtown Millersburg offers many shops and antique stores.  The Victorian House and Museum is located 3 blocks north of the downtown strip, and the Holmes County Rails To Trails (29 miles in length) is located 3 blocks to the west of the edge of downtown.

    Hotel Millersburg offers a casual restaurant serving lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday and brunch on Sunday.  The Hotel offers three meeting/private dining rooms seating 15, 40 and 75.  An outdoor courtyard is open for dining during the summer and offers live entertainment on many Friday and Saturday evenings through the summer.

    Rooms in Hotel Millersburg include private baths, televisions, many with HDTV flat screens, coffee makers, and many other amenities.  An elegant lobby is available for guest use during day and evening hours.

    Breitenbach Wine Cellars is one of the most visited wineries in the country!  The winery crushes, presses and bottles 20 varieties of vinifera, Fench Hybrid and Labrusca grape varieties such as Frost Fire and Roadhouse Red.  Breitenbach makes a fabulous Tawny Port and Ice Wine. Breitenbach is a premium producer of 20 varieties of award-winning natural fruit wines including Red Raspberry, Peach, Blackberry and Dandelion. 
    Tours are available by appointment and tasting is offered daily in the gift shop.  Many beautiful gifts and antiques are available.  Breitenbach offers gift boxes for all occasions.  The deli at Breitenbach features Ohio Grand Champion Swiss cheese.  Thirty local and imported cheeses are available for sampling as well as German smoked meats.  Cafe Breitenbach serves salads, panninis and hearth-baked pizza Monday-Sat. from 11-3.  Indoor seating is available as well as the patio in warm weather.  Breitenbach is home to Fred's Famous Barbecue.  Baby back ribs and chicken are on the menu.
