  • the Wilds

    The Wilds, located near Cumberland, Ohio, is one of the largest and most innovative conservation centers in the world, spanning 14 square miles in Southeastern Ohio. Board a Safari Transport or Open-Air Safari to view and learn about rare and endangered animals from around the world roaming freely in large, natural habitat, including rhinos, giraffes, zebras and antelope.

    Visitors can pick their own P.A.C.E. -- Personal Adventure in Conservation Education -- and depart the transports during the tour at destinations like the Lake Trail and the new Mid-Sized Carnivore Conservation Center that features cheetahs, African wild dogs, and dholes. Also available are evening Sunset Safaris, Family Camp Weekends, private Wildside Tours, overnight packages at Nomad Ridge at the Wilds, special monthly theme activity weekends, the Overlook Cafe, Gift Market, private and group tours, Birding Station, Butterfly Habitat walking trail, summer youth WildeCamps, Lodge at the Wilds, Winter Safari Tours, memberships and more.

    The Wilds is open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day and weekends in the months of May, September and October.

  • Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and The RainForest

    Northeast Ohio’s most popular year-round attraction, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, founded in 1882, is one of the oldest and largest zoos in the United States.   • The Toledo Zoo

    Travel the world in one amazing day! With more than 5,000 animals representing 500+ species, the Toledo Zoo offers your family an experience like no other.


    Giraffes, zebras, ostriches and more roam our Africa! exhibit during warmer months- and you can delve even deeper on our Safari Railway. See polar bears, seals and grey wolves in the Arctic Encounter, and new in 2014, explore Penguin Beach, our walk-through penguin exhibit that features viewing from three different levels. You'll even see them "fly underwater!"

Tembo Trail brings you eye-to-eye with elephants, rhinos and more, including hippos at our world-renowned Hippoquarium. In our Museum of Science, you'll encounter frogs, salamanders and bugs of all kinds in the crawlspace and Amazing Amphibians.

    The kids will love Nature's Neighborhood, our award-winning children's zoo- it's 100% explore-able, hands-on fun! When it's time to eat, grab a bite at the Carnivore Cafe (where lions, tigers, and other big cats once lived) or at the Timberline Bakery. And all through your visit, our beautiful gardens will grace your way.

  • Heaven's Corner Zoo & Animal Sanctuary

    Heaven's Corner is a fully licensed zoo and animal sanctuary that rescues unwanted or displaced exotic animals. Residents at our non-profit facility in Preble County include a White Bengal Tiger, an Amur Leopard, monkeys, lemurs, wolves, alligators, birds, bears and more. Stroll our paved paths nestled among the trees, where you'll see our animals playing and relaxing UP CLOSE! We offer fun, educational tours about their native habitats, behaviors and rescue stories. We are not here to exploit these animals, but to provide them care, love and a peaceful environment now that they can't be returned to the their natural habitats... due to humans thinking they would make a 'cool pet' or other unfortunate circumstance. We also offer a picnic area and petting zoo.

  • Jungle Jim's International Market, Inc.

    Located in Fairfield, Ohio, Jungle Jim's International Market is arguably the largest supermarket in the country, spanning nearly 6 1/2 acres. Jungle Jim's showcases approximately 180,000 products including nearly 60,000 international items, over 12,000 wine labels, as well as mountains of imported cheeses, exotic wild specialty meats, fresh seafood, and a dazzling display of 1 1/2 of acres of fresh produce.   • Wagon Trails Animal Park

    Hour long safari ride in northeast Ohio. Get up close and personal with over 350 animals from around the world. Feed camels, zebras, bison and many others from your pail of zoofood. Relax and enjoy as our safari guide drives you through 65 acres of ponds, woods and exotic animals. Bird aviary and petting zoo also included. Safaris leave throughout the day.   • Akron Zoo

  • Fannie May & Harry London Chocolate Factory & Store

    Visit our 20,000 square foot state-of-the-art chocolate factory for a 45-minute tour. London's has produced quality gourmet chocolates since 1922 using original family recipes. 

    Tours are available by reservation only Monday-Friday on the hour from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM EST.   Summer and Holiday hours are subject to change.  The cost for a tour is $3.00 per adult and $2.00 for youth ages 2-18.  Children under the age of 2 are Free.Store hours are Monday-Saturday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. .   • Schrock's Amish Farm

    New Attractions in Holmes County!
    We now offer horse-drawn wagon rides. Our wagon ride is a 30 minute narrated ride through the entire farm with a stop along the way to feed the animals. Of course, we are still giving real Amish buggy rides and train rides. You can take the farm tour and experience the Amish way of life with a guided tour through an Amish home and barn area where you may see various farm activities which may include milking cows, horseshoeing, field work, etc.
    Schrock's Amish farm is a family oriented attraction where there is something for everyone. We now have a bakery on location as well as the Berlin Antique and Craft Malls, and Berlin Leather and Pets, as well as Gramma Fannie's Quilt Barn.

  • The Ohio Glass Museum & Glass Blowing Studio

    The Ohio Glass Museum was founded in 2002 to honor the more than 100 year history of glass making in Fairfield County, Ohio. The museum has exhibits of glass made in Ohio as well as glass from around the United States. In 2010 the museum opened it's new Glass Blowing Studio. The Glass Blowing Studio is open every day in The museum and offers live demonstrations and classes in glass blowing and flameworking. All the glass made in the studio is for sale in the museum's gift shop along with other glass treasurers from around the world.
