Der Dutchman Restaurant Walnut Creek
The Der Dutchman Restaurant Walnut Creek serves the finest Amish Kitchen Cooking. Menus feature a wide variety of dinners, sandwiches, and desserts. The cooks in our kitchen know that much of the comfort in “comfort food” comes from the way it is prepared, so they use time-honored methods often learned at the elbow of a mother or a grandmother. It’s tradition you can really taste!
Our family style dinners are an example of the traditional meals Amish serve in their homes. These dinners include chicken, ham, or roast beef, real mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, old fashioned dressing (stuffing), plus a salad bar. Loaves of warm, fresh-baked bread, pie and a beverage complete your meal. While you delight in our food you can relax with the picturesque view of the Gensa Bottom - a beautiful Amish farming valley.
Our banquet facilities accommodate groups of 20 to 475 and bus tours are welcome. Our employees are the gracious, hard-working face of the Walnut Creek community. Customers often comment that the opportunity to interact with our Amish servers and staff makes a meal at Der Dutchman even more memorable and enjoyable. Please come join us!

Lehman's
A visit to Lehman's is like shopping and going to a museum at the same time. You'll find thousands of products you thought they quit making years ago.
While you are visiting Amish Country, take time to visit Lehman's, founded in 1955 by Jay Lehman to serve the local Amish with non-electric, old-fashioned products. With over 30,000 square feet of space, including a cafe and buggy barn, all housed in a maze of buildings nearly a quarter mile long, Lehman's is a worth a trip to Ohio all on its own.
Lehman's ships merchandise all over the from the retail store in tiny Kidron, a print catalog and web site (www.Lehmans.com). Oil lamps, tin toys, hand tools, weather vanes, wood stoves, copper kettles, wooden wheelbarrows and much more -- if you can't find it anywhere else, check with Lehman's before you give up!
