There are numerous festivals that take place every year and now is the time to start planning your summer weekends. From ethnic festivals to hot air balloon festivals, Ohio has everything for the whole family. Pack up the car and take a trip to see all of the wonderful events Ohio has to offer.
Aug. 9–11: Flag City Balloon Fest, Findlay
Go for a high ride during this annual festival, where air balloons of all colors, patterns, shapes and even characters take to the skies of Findlay. Stay grounded with a classic car show, corn hole tournament, 5K Run/Walk and a coloring contest.
Aug. 10: Tour du Towpath, Canal Fulton
Embark on a 35-mile, 20-mile, or 8-mile bicycling journey along the portion of the Ohio & Erie Canalway Towpath Trail that winds through Summit County. Afterwards, a barbeque lunch will reward tired riders in Canal Fulton.
Aug. 10–11: Festival Latino, Columbus
Experience traditional and contemporary Latin American culture through lively music and dance performances, educational workshops and authentic cuisine.
Aug. 15–18: All Ohio Balloon Fest, Marysville
Live music, a plethora of food fare, kids’ activities and of course, hot air balloons await at the 38th-annual event.
Aug. 30–Sept. 2: Greek Festival, Columbus
Experience Greek culture and perhaps best of all, food, during this 41st annual festival of traditional dancing, music, arts, crafts and worship.
