Columbus Museum of Art
The Columbus Museum of Art creates great experiences with great art for everyone. CMA houses an outstanding collection of late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century American and European modern art. This collection includes major works by Claude Monet, Henri Matisse, Edward Hopper and Georgia O'Keeffe. The Museum boasts the largest public collection of woodcarvings by Columbus folk artist Elijah Pierce as well as the world’s largest repository of paintings and lithographs by Columbus native George Bellows, who is widely regarded as the finest American artist of his generation. In addition, CMA's collection includes The Photo League which consists of photographs by artists including Berenice Abbott, W. Eugene Smith and Weegee and the Philip and Suzanne Schiller Collection of American Social Commentary Art 1930–1970 which includes works by Jacob Lawrence, Romare Bearden, and Ben Shahn.
