    Mary Yoder’s Amish Kitchen (14743 N. State St. (RT 608) Middlefield) Good old fashioned Amish home cooking. Come feast on tender, slow-cooked roast beef or turkey, real mashed potatoes, fresh salads, and homemade bread and rolls.  Just be sure to save room for your favorite homemade pie.
    Middlefield Swiss Cheese (15815 Nauvoo Rd. Middlefield) – Visiting Amish country is not complete until you taste some fine cheeses. A major producer of exceptional Swiss cheese.  In fact, their cheese is sold from Maine to California and Florida to Alaska. Samples are encouraged.
    Nauvoo Family Market (15979 Nauvoo Rd. Middlefield) You'll find fresh produce, cheese, meats, baked goods, ice cream, and canned products, bulk items as well as a wide variety of locally made craft items, gifts, furniture, toys, and so much more. Shopping here is a delight for the whole family.

    Meander through the treasure – laden corridors of Countryside Collection Antique Mall (15848 Nauvoo Rd.).  4,500 square feet with scores of distinctive dealers.  Primitives and country are their specialty. Your expectations will be exceeded!  Take a break and enjoy an old-fashioned soda fountain serving hand-dipped ice cream treats at an authentic 1847 B&O Railroad depot (14979 S. State Ave).

    All aboard the family truckster and over to charming historic Chardon Square. To the #1 voted  Antique Shop in NE Ohio 4 yrs. in a row by Fox 8 Hot List! Antiques on the Square (101 Main St.).     In Chardon’s Historic downtown area, stop at Sage’s Apples for seasonal  berries, peaches, and of course apples! Looking for Maple BBQ sauce? Maple cotton candy? Maple coffee? Maple dog treats? Richards Maple Products is your stop! If it’s close to lunch time, gourmet pizza at Noce or tea at Rosepointe Cottage are excellent choices. Summer Friday nights offer an amazing Farm Market on Historic Chardon Square with an open air concert.

    During the growing season Geauga Fresh Farmers Market in South Russell is a wonderful place to find locally grown/produced everything! From veggies to meat, flowers to herbs,

    If healthy, fresh, local food, interests you than a stop at Sirna's Farm is in order.  Sirna's takes care of the environment by avoiding chemicals and show that farmers can work with the environment to get higher yields. PLUS their pickles are amazing!!!

    In Burton you’ll have to personally decide on your favorite chocolate with stops at Buckeye Chocolate and White House Chocolate.  Either way you win! While Geauga Farms Country Meats will provide you with the freshest, tastiest meat you’ve ever had.  

    Next stop Middlefield, the heart of the 4th largest Amish community in the world! And here you have two amazing stores to shop for your favorites! At Middlefield Cheese Co-op you can watch cheese production through their large window that overlooks the factory floor.  Middlefield Cheese offers a museum that showcases their history.

    Of course no trip is complete without fresh bakery! Amish Home Craft & Bakery, Countryside Home Bakery, and Nauvoo Family Market  are brimming with home-baked goodness! Of course, no dessert until you have had dinner and Mary Yoder’s Amish Kitchen is a perfect choice.  Now that your cooler is full of take home treats and you are too full to move…you just may want to spend the night!
