Lucy Hayes Heritage Center

This four room, center hall Federal Style home is the birthplace of Lucy Ware Webb, who became the wife and helpmate of the 19th President of the United States, Rutherford B. Hayes.  The parlor and bedroom are furnished with antiques and we have 5 showcases of Hayes memorabilia.

Lucy was born August 28, 1831 to Dr. James & Maria Cook Webb.  Education was very important to the family and she is the first "First Lady" to have a college degree.  Come hear the history of the house and Lucy!
