Lake Metroparks Farmpark

In 2015, Lake Metroparks Farmpark celebrates 25 years as a family-oriented science and cultural center devoted to agriculture, farming, and country life. Escape to the country to discover where your food comes from!

Visitors to Lake Metroparks Farmpark watch and participate in daily hand milking the cows. Other demonstrations include machine milking, cheese-making, and other farm skills. Try your hand a making ice cream the old-fashioned way on weekends! In addition, the park is home to dozens of breeds of livestock, from pigs to alpacas; and kids, in particular, will delight in seeing the different animals being fed and cared for.

The Plant Science Center features exhibits about hydroponic and organic gardening, cultivating honey, and creating a viable greenhouse. The Woodland Center offers displays on forest conservation, maple syrup harvesting, and other outdoor activities of local interest. Wagon rides are the mode of transportation throughout the park.

Due to the nature of the facility, no pets are allowed on Farmpark grounds.

Farmpark offers a country setting for offsite business meetings, corporate picnics, and holiday parties. Farmpark hours are 9 am to 5 pm, Tuesday through Sunday year-round.
