Islands have always been an appealing escape, and Ohio’s Lake Erie Islands are no exception. South Bass Island, also known as Put-in-Bay, offers unparalleled adventure around every corner, while, Kelleys Island provides a milder blend of attractions with exquisite natural beauty. Be warned, it’s easy to lose track of time exploring on bicycle or golf cart, especially when you include stopovers at the one-of-a-kind, island-inspired boutiques and eateries.
For liquid refreshment, the Lake Erie Shores & Islands boasts six water playlands. Great Wolf Lodge, Castaway Bay, Kalahari, and Rain all combine lodging, entertainment and aquatic fun under one roof, attracting visitors year-round with 80º temperatures.
