Historic Lyme Village

Historic Lyme Village is a restored collection of buildings in a village setting spanning a one-hundred-year period from 1830 to 1930. Some buildings are restored while others contain museum displays.

Buildings include the Victorian Wright mansion, a brick one room school, a log church and log homes, Seymour House (a stop on the underground railroad), Lyme Post Office, Schug Hardware, several barns, a blacksmith shop, cobblers shop, woodworking shop, a visitor's center with research library, and rest rooms. Tour Guides will escort you through the Village or you may tour the village on you own.

Open June through August, Tuesday - Sunday, closed Mondays. Open Sundays only in September . Other months by appointment only.

Special events are held in the villages during the year including a Victorian Tea: Pioneer Days held the weekend after Labor Day every year; Storybook halloween held in October; and special Christmas events held in December.

Services are held in the Log Church from the First Sunday in June to the Second Sunday in October every year at 8 AM as well as Christmas Eve And Easter Sunrise Service.
